Benny Yupanqui is a Peruvian-American person, theologian, clinical chaplain, and Deacon. He is proud to be part of a large family of eleven children: his parents Alejandro and Francisca and five sisters live already in heaven the rest of the siblings live in Peru. He has many nephews and nieces living in different cities in Peru. Trujillo is his hometown for Benny and he takes it always in his heart. He is married and has a precious boy who is in high school. The triangle area of North Carolina: Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh are his hometown in the States; then he lived in Virginia, Washington D.C. Texas, and now he lives and works in Wyoming.
EDUCATION:
- He got a Master’s degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University New Orleans with concentration courses in Pastoral Care and Pastoral Theology. (M.P.S.)
- Got a post-master certification, four semesters, as Clinical Chaplain from A.C.P.E. with an internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center.
- He got a Master's Degree in Arts of Theology, three years of Philosophy, and four years of Theology at The Major Seminary San Carlos and San Marcelo of Trujillo, Peru, and evaluated in the United States by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), Washington D.C. (M.A.Th.)
- Got a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from The Facultad de Teologia Pontificia y Civil de Lima. It is the first Pontifical and Civil University created in Latin America by the Dominican order on July 1st, 1548.
- He obtained a Religious Education license from the Peruvian State and from the Roman Catholic Church to teach Catholic theology in Peru and within the Catholic Church because of the agreement between the Holy See and the Peruvian Nation.

MINISTRY EXPERIENCE:
Rev. Dcn. Benny Yupanqui has been ministering in schools, parishes, and dioceses in Religious Education and in Pastoral Care Ministry for twenty years. He is a fruit of Iris priests and sister from the Diocese of Cork, Irland. His first Catholic Parish was named "St. Rose of Lima" in Trujillo, Peru, where he was a catechist when he was 15 y/o.
Benny spent seven years of Seminary training and formation at the Roman Catholic Pontifical Mayor Seminary in Soth America. An amazing experience of organization, leadership, evangelization, vision of the world as Catholics, an inexplicable relationship with God through an amazing contact with Jesus, and an aromatic contemplation in the Holy Spirit. Founded a community of friendship and a compassionate service to people in Jesus Christ.
He was ordained Deacon to the Catholic Church on October 30, 2010. Ordained by Bishop John Bura in Charlotte, North Carolina, within the Catholic Diocese of St. Josaphat.
